Bookseller Link Book Sales is a fully functional, working example of the Bookseller Link system in action.

The site was originally built purely as a sample to show booksellers how the Bookseller Link system works, but it soon grew into a live site selling a small collection of second-hand books.

This site was constructed and is completely powered by the Bookseller Link system. To get a better idea of how Bookseller Link can help you sell your second-hand books online, please visit the Bookseller Link website

BooksellerLink™ web system for smaller booksellers
butterfly

Smaller booksellers soon discover that developing your own website or selling through outlets such as Ebay and Amazon can be a time-consuming, profit-eating challenge. The Maweb designed BooksellerLink™ system has been developed to address these issues in an easy to use package.

BooksellerLink offers a booksellers an easily updateable, bespoke, professionally designed website, a unique reflection of their business. A bookseller's website looks and performs as if it is a separate, bespoke website, but with the added benefit of an easy to use back-end admin system.

The key to the Bookseller Link system is ease of use:

  • Easy for the bookseller to keep their on-line inventory up to date
  • Easy for the bookseller to keep their non-book web pages up to date
  • Easy for the book buyer to find a book, easy for them to make a purchase and
  • Easy for the seller to know what has been sold and dispatch the book

Bookseller Link provides various postage options including packing and handling charges based on Royal Mail charges (for stamps and franking accounts) with postal zone options and individual item postage over-rides. Postage charges automatically changes when the Post Office adjusts their prices. The site handles the payment system through the seller's PayPal account and sends a system generated post-sale email to the seller giving details of the sale, postage and book's storage location to make it easy to find a book on the shelf (or box) when sold.

The accounting side is also easy with no listing fees, no expiry dates, no Bookseller Link commission on sales, each transaction shows a record of PayPal charges and there is just one simple annual fee covers hosting, domain registration and all future updates to the system. To find out more about the Bookseller Link, please visit the Bookseller Link website

For booksellers with larger inventories that may be using the ABE Homebase system, BooksellerLink can be integrated with your office-based Homebase database using our unique HB-Link plugin, allowing thousands of books to be updated from your Homebase database to your website in seconds.
